Citytv and Force Four Entertainment announced Wednesday that Canadian comedian Tom Green is making a one-time guest appearance on the new original comedy series Seed.

Green will play an arrogant but insightful psychoanalyst that will see him counselling the show’s dysfunctional families.

The stakes are high for the Rogers-owned channel’s original series, which is currently being produced in Halifax. Not only do Citytv executives hope the series contends alongside U.S. imports when it begins broadcasting in early 2013. They also hope it will prove to be an international sales hit.
