These guys aren’t saying goodnight, or starting production on their third film, just yet.

Trailer Park Productions and Halifax’s Topsail Productions on Monday announced that a third Trailer Park Boys feature film will delay production to March 2013.

Actors John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells and Mike Smith have all signed on for another misadventure in Sunnyvale Trailer Park, directed by Mike Clattenburg, who helmed the previous feature films and the Showcase TV series.

“We are all extremely pleased to be working together again on another Trailer Park Boys film. Although it’s been four years since our last film, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are as popular as ever, even expanding internationally, and we’re delighted to bring them back to the big screen,” said producer Barrie Dunn of Topsail in a statement.

Originally, production was planned to begin this month, but was postponed due to scheduling conflicts.

“Having to reschedule was actually a blessing in disguise. The extra time allows us to get all our financing in place before shooting begins and gives all our creative departments more time to prepare,” said Topsail producer Mike Volpe.

Trailer Park Boys began as a short film in 1998, which starred Robb Wells as Ricky and John Paul Tremblay as Julian and was directed by Clattenberg.

A full-length film followed in 1999, premiering at the Atlantic Film Festival and chronicling the boys’ crude and criminal adventures in the Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and spawned the idea for a spin-off TV show, adding Mike Smith’s character Bubbles to the mix.

The TV series premiered on Showcase in Canada in 2001 and ran for seven seasons, with the final episode, Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys, airing as a special in December 2008.

Trailer Park Boys: The Movie was released in theatres in 2006, and the second feature film, Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day was released in 2009.

As with the two previous feature films, Alliance Films will distribute the third film in Canada.
