Industry veteran Rekha Shah has been named the director of sales for the Canadian office of CBS Studios International.

Shah, who will be based in  Toronto, will focus on selling the CBS library to both English- and French-language specialty channels as well as manage the company’s growing video-on-demand and subscription-on-demand businesses.

“Rekha is a welcome addition to our team.  With over 15 years in the business, Rekha is well known within our community as a quality sales person,” said Doug Smith, who is the  VP and general sales manager, Canada, for CBS Studios International.

“Her experience in production and sales has resulted in strong relationships within the Canadian media community.”

Shah joins CBS International from Toronto-based CCI Entertainment where she served as VP, distribution and co-production and director of international sales. Before that, she was the director of English Canada TV sales and manager North American TV sales at Alliance Atlantis/Alliance Films.
