Servitude international distribution rights go to Lightning Ent

Buck Productions and Victory Man Productions have seen Lightning Entertainment take the international distribution rights to their workplace comedy Servitude, including the U.S. market.

The deal will see the sales agent shop the Warren P. Sonoda comedy to film buyers outside of Canada, where Alliance Films already released the Canadian indie.

The distribution deal was unveiled at TIFF by  producer Sean Buckley and writer-producer Michael Sparaga (Sidekick).

Servitude  stars Joe Dinicol (The L.A. Complex), Enrico Colantoni, Dave Foley and Kristen Hager (Being Human), and follows a group of frustrated waiters at a kitschy steakhouse who band together and take over their restaurant for one final, glorious night after they discover that they are all about to be fired.

The project sprang from the Telefilm Canada features comedy lab, where it was groomed by Ivan Reitman, Donald Petrie and Etan Cohen.
