Entertainment One and U.K. producer Raw TV will co-produce new series Dangerous Persuasions (working title) for History Television in Canada and Investigation Discovery in the U.S.
The 6 x 60-minute series will document true stories of everyday people who were convinced to commit horrible acts, according to a release.
“With the support of our producing team and broadcast partners, we’re confident in delivering these captivating, true stories to our extensive North American viewing audience,” said eOne Television senior VP of factual, Michael Kot, in a statement.
Dangerous Persuasions was developed by Raw TV for Investigation Discovery.
History Television came on board as the domestic broadcaster for a U.K.-Canada treaty co-production.
The series’ stories will be told visually through dramatic re-enactments, with victims providing first-hand commentary.
This is the first series Raw TV is producing for both History Television and Investigation Discovery.
Dangerous Persuasions is exec produced by Kot for eOne, and Louise Norman and Dimitri Doganis for Raw TV, and is planned for delivery by the end of the year.
