Adding to its slate of TV offerings for MIPTV in April, international TV distribution and development company Cableready has acquired exclusive international distribution rights to new Canadian factual entertainment series Esther Extraordinaire and Wedding Dress Wars.
Cableready, which also develops TV shows, will shop to international broadcasters Esther Extraordinaire (14 x 30 mins), which follows high-brow interior designer Esther Tracy in her extravagant design jobs.
The series is produced by Toronto-based Cream Productions for HGTV in Canada, and set to air on HGTV in the spring.
Wedding Dress Wars, which has been green lit by Slice, is in the final stages of development as a two-hour pilot. Buck Productions and Olive Branch are producing the indie reality series.
UPDATED: The Wedding Dress Wars show description has been removed as Playback received inaccurate information from Cableready in the original company statement. The series is still in development.
