Entertainment One (eOne) has picked up the distribution rights to comic and actor Katt Williams’s New Year’s Eve comedy special.

As the indie producer/distributor continues to marry comedy, music and media platforms, eOne will handle sales of the Kattpacalypse 2012 DVD worldwide.

The project reunites Katt  with film director Marcus Raboy for the one-hour special on New Year’s Eve taped live in Los Angeles.

The project was brought to the distributor by Alan Grunblatt, president of eOne Music and Allen Blackwell, eOne U.S. VP of urban film & comedy programming.

Katt Williams, Lance Rivera, Lena Smith, Neal Marshall and Blackwell share the producer credits.

The Kattpacalypse 2012 is expected to be possibly followed by feature films, stand-up comedy and a number of projects to be stick-handled by eOne.
