Playback’s 2011 ’10 to Watch’

There are few industries as enticing as film and television, and as such, it’s a community always brimming with up-and-coming talent. That’s why each year, Playback sets out to showcase that talent with our annual 10 to Watch list, featuring the best and brightest new talent in the industry.

We’ve opened submissions to the 2011 edition of the list, which will be featured in our Fall 2011 print issue. If you know someone who’s only been in the industry for a short time, but is already making a big impact, let us know!

We’re looking for talent of all kinds: editors, writers, directors, animators, sound specialists, DOPs, special effects specialists, etc. Age is not a limiting factor: we ask only that the nominees still be relatively new in their careers (e.g. four years or less).

All we need for each nomination is the nominee’s name, profession or title, length of time in the industry, and a brief summary of their accomplishments. All nominations can be sent here.

The deadline for submissions is July 11.
