Webb leaves CTV

Joanna Webb has left the CTV programming team at Bell Media after joining the broadcaster last fall.

Rick Brace, president of specialty channels and CTV production, in an internal memo Monday announced Webb’s departure ahead of a “new structure for the management of Bell Media’s specialty channels” to be unveiled next week.

“Please join me in thanking Joanna for her contributions, and wishing her the very best in the future,” Brace added.

Webb was hired last October by CTV as senior vice president of programming a week after she resigned from rival Corus Entertainment.

She joined CTV’s programming department just as then-CTVglobemedia was about to be taken over by BCE and rebranded as Bell Media.

Brace listed as Webb’s accomplishments at CTV rebranding Star! as E!, and retooling the programming strategy for Bravo!, The Comedy Network and Space.
