Apparently, Twilight fans aren’t the only ones who think Robert Pattinson has million-dollar looks.
Telefilm Canada announced Thursday that it is investing $2.7 million in Cosmopolis, the David Cronenberg-directed and Pattinson-starring film currently shooting in Toronto.
Cosmopolis also named a recipient of Astral’s Harold Greenberg Fund English-Language Program, announced earlier this June.
The film follows a hot shot young billionaire businessman during 24 hectic hours in Manhatten, as he receives guests and clients in his stretch limousine.
In the release announcing the funding, Telefilm’s Carolle Brabant praised Cronenberg’s commitment to Canada.
“David Cronenberg is the definitive Canadian artist, who despite receiving many tempting offers to move to Hollywood, has remained in Canada to practice his craft,” she said.
