Number two to Google is pretty impressive: Bell Media on Tuesday said its video content came in just behind Google sites among Canadian online video sites, according to comScore data.
The April 2011 ranking saw Bell Media video record 120 million views, with around 8.8 million hours of video consumed. The ranking includes CTV.ca and all of CTV’s specialty properties, such as MuchMusic.com. Canada’s other main video sites were also measured accordingly.
The comScore league table included Microsoft sites in third place, Facebook in fourth place and Vevo (for whom CTV handles Canadian sales) in fifth place.
The April performance by Bell Media included cross-platform coverage of Britain’s royal wedding, complete with a CTV.ca live stream and Theroyals.ca destination website.
