CTV has picked up the legal drama pilot Stay With Me from Sarrazin Couture Entertainment, and a medical drama pilot, Saving Hope, to be executive produced by Rookie Blue creator Ilana Frank.
The broadcaster also ordered the one hour drama series Highland Gardens from Epitome Pictures that covers familiar territory for the Degrassi franchise producer: young Canadians looking to make it in Hollywood.
Veteran producers Suzette Couture and partner Pierre Sarrazin are to shoot a one-hour pilot for the legal procedural Stay With Me, which portrays a thirty-something mother returning after personal trials to work as a lawyer in a Toronto firm.
Couture wrote the pilot script, and will executive produce along with Sarrazin.
And Frank of Thump Inc., who brought CTV The Eleventh Hour before delivering Rookie Blue to rival Global Television, is behind the one hour pilot Saving Hope, which follows the private and professional trials of doctors and staff in a Toronto hospital.
The drama pilot was written and created by Morwyn Brebner (Rookie Blue) and Malcolm MacRury, with Frank and Lesley Harrison executive producing.
Both pilots will be shot in Toronto in spring 2011.
CTV also put a bet on Linda Schuyler and Stephen Stohn at Epitome Pictures with the upcoming MuchMusic drama Highland Gardens.
The six by one-hour drama about six young Canadians chasing their dream in Hollywood will be show-run and executive produced by Martin Gero (Young People Fucking).
