Criminal Minds’ nearest competitor was ABC’s Modern Family on Citytv racking up just over 1 million viewers.

Rival Global Television had reason to crow with 2.5 million viewers for the second episode of Survivor: Nicaragua, indicating that reality franchise still has legs.

On the home front, the CBC’s season premiere of Dragon’s Den at 8 p.m. grabbed 1.6 million viewers, and CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance Canada performance show at 8 p.m. secured 1.11 million eyeballs, up 6% from a week-earlier 1.05 million.

Global Television’s Shattered at 10 p.m. continued to make little noise with a modest 423,000 viewers.
