Victor Garber has joined the cast of Stargate Universe shooting in Vancouver.

The Space Channel series added Garber as a guest star, to play ambassador Ovirda of planet Langara, along with David Hewlett and Robert Picardo.

The second installment of the sci-fi series will bow on October 1 north of the border, and on September 28 stateside on the Syfy channel.

The series was created by Robert C. Cooper and Brad Wright.
