Unis TV’s latest scripted series, Agence Brainsto, is currently filming in Greater Montreal. Described as a workplace sitcom, the series was created by Montreal-based improv comic LeLouis Courchesne (who also stars), and Isabelle Larivière. Produced by Guylaine Brisebois, Nicolas Boucher and Larivière for Attraction. The series is directed by Alec Pronovost.
The series follows a team of creators at a brainstorming agency as they generate ideas about anything and everything at the request of visiting star guests played by real-life personalities.
“I’m a big sitcom fan. I wanted to reconnect with this genre which works well with the Quebec public and bring it up to date. There haven’t been many [sitcoms] in Quebec,” says Courchesne in a statement. Agence Brainsto marks his first foray into scripted series writing.
In addition to Courchesne, the series stars Pascale Bussières, Patrick Emmanuel Abellard , Sophie Cadieux , Daphnée Côté-Hallé, Étienne Galloy and Olivia Palacci. In the first season Quebec celebrities Catherine Brunet, Lou-Pascal Tremblay and others take part as themselves.
The series of 10, 24-minute episodes will be available in full on TV5Unis in winter 2025.
