Toronto’s Border2Border Entertainment has commenced production on scripted web series Settle Down.
Created by writer-actor Alexander Nunez (Moonshine) and directed by Sam Coyle (Avocado Toast The Series), the 6 x 20-minutes is produced by Border2Border’s Charlie David and is slated for a Valentine’s Day 2025 release on OUTtv.com and the OUTtv channel on Amazon and Apple TV.
The web series follows the life of Mason (Nunez), a charismatic matchmaker with an unmatched success rate in pairing queer individuals. As the host of the popular podcast “Well Versed,” he offers sage advice on sex, dating and relationships to his avid listeners – yet his own romantic life remains a chaotic mess.
The Toronto production is supported by the Bell Fund, the Independent Production Fund, the Ontario Creates IDM Production Fund, Border2Border Entertainment and OUTtv.
Settle Down‘s lead cast also includes Leighton Alexander (Designing Christmas), Izad Etemadi (Orphan Black: Echoes), Tymika Tafari (Slip), Nadine Bhabha (One More Time) and Angela Besharah (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds).
Rounding out the cast are Vasilios Filippakis, Colton Royce, Joshua Obra, Josette Jorge, Charlotte Cattel, Thomas Gough, Liam Melady, Clare McConnell, Matt Wells, Marco DeLuca and Scott Farley.
