OUTtv, BBC co-commission Glow Up season seven

Season seven of the popular make-up reality competition will launch internationally on OUTtv alongside the U.K. broadcast.

Vancouver-based OUTtv and BBC have co-commissioned season seven of the reality competition series Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star.

This expands on OUTtv’s role in the sixth season of the London-based Wall to Wall Media-produced series when it boarded as a coproducer, assuming the global SVOD rights for the series outside of the U.K.

The 8 x 60-minute new season will launch internationally on OUTtv, except in the Nordics where it will release on OUTflix, OUTtv’s streaming platform in the U.K., Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The international launch will coincide with the U.K. broadcast on BBC Three and iPlayer in 2025.

The first season of Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star launched in 2019. Each season follows a group of aspiring make-up artists who are tested in weekly challenges from TV special effects to digital fashion week.

This deal follows a number of other series commissions from OUTtv including Get Hooked (7 x 30 minutes), Stripped Down (6 x 30 minutes), Off Shoot (6 x 30 minutes) and Settle Down! (6 x 20 minutes).

Glow Up is a series that we have admired for years, and co-commissioning the upcoming season feels like a natural progression for us following the successful rollout of season six earlier this year on our platform globally,” said OUTtv COO Philip Webb in a statement.
