Gravitas Ventures acquires U.S. rights for Re: Uniting

Laura Adkin's drama feature will make its Canadian theatrical run later this month, followed by a U.S. release in June.

Ohio-based Gravitas Ventures has acquired U.S. rights to writer-director-actor Laura Adkin’s feature drama Re: Uniting.

The film is produced by Krista Rand and Adkin under Vancouver-based Flat Head Films, with Vortex Media handling distribution in Canada.

Re: Uniting stars Michelle Harrison (The Flash) as a woman who reunites with her college friends after receiving life-changing news.

The ensemble cast also includes Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order), Roger Cross (Dark Matter), David James Lewis (Child’s Play), Carmen Moore (Nancy Drew) and Bronwen Smith (Firefly Lane).

Gravitas Ventures, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company, will release the film on digital and cable on demand on June 4.

Re: Uniting‘s Canadian theatrical run begins on March 15 in Toronto, followed by screenings in Vancouver and Victoria on March 16 and 17, respectively.

The deal with Gravitas was brokered by Flat Head Films and executive producer Josh Epstein.

Re: Uniting was produced with the support of Telefilm Canada, William F. White International and UBCP/ACTRA.
