HGTV orders two series from Scott Brothers Entertainment

Backed By The Bros and Don't Hate Your House with the Property Brothers are expected to premiere on HGTV and HGTV Canada in 2024.

HGTV has greenlit two new series featuring the Property Brothers duo of home renovation and real estate experts Drew and Jonathan Scott.

The first is Backed By the Bros (working title), in which the Scotts offer insight and resources for inexperienced entrepreneurs with their high-stakes investment properties. The second title is Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers (w/t), wherein the siblings help families make improvements to problematic homes.

Toronto and Nashville-based Scott Brothers Entertainment will produce both series, along with a newly announced season of the home-reno series Celebrity IOU, with both brothers working as executive producers. Corus Entertainment is coproducing Don’t Hate Your House.

Cineflix Rights has added Don’t Hate Your House, launching the series at MIPCOM this week. The Property Brothers franchise includes more than 400 hours across seven separate series, which have sold in more than 160 countries and territories, globally.

Backed By The Bros  and Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers are new concepts that will showcase a different side of the popular twins. We’ll see them lean into their deep knowledge of real estate and home renovation to help people deal with their high-stakes property dilemmas,” said HGTV head of content Loren Ruch in a release.

The two new series are scheduled to premiere on HGTV in the U.S. and HGTV Canada in 2024.

The two brothers are co-founders of the lifestyle and entertainment company Scott Brothers Global, which includes Scott Brothers Entertainment, as well as the home furnishings brands Drew & Jonathan Home and Scott Living.
