Bell Media’s CTV and Noovo have ordered English and French Canadian adaptations of the reality competition format The Traitors.

Montreal-based prodco Entourage Television will produce both Les traîtres for Noovo and The Traitors: Canada for CTV. Additionally, actor Karine Vanasse (Plan B, Cardinal) will serve as the host of both series.

The Traitors format sees a group of contestants living together in a mansion and competing in challenges together for a cash prize of up to $100,000. However, some of them are secretly traitors out to sabotage the game and win the prize for themselves.

“This major production with two sets led by the same host and crew will definitely showcase our local talent nationwide,” said Suzane Landry, VP, content development, programming and news, Bell Media, in a statement.

The format was created by IDTV in the Netherlands, and All3Media International represents international format rights.

Bell Media SVOD Crave acquired rights to the U.S., U.K, and Australian versions of The Traitors in April.
