Crave has ordered a fourth season of the hit original series Canada’s Drag Race ahead of the debut of spinoff series Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World.
Toronto-based producer Trevor Boris will return as executive producer and showrunner of the fourth season, which is currently in the casting process.
Canada’s Drag Race is produced by Blue Ant Studios, in association with Crave and World of Wonder. Additional executive producers on season four are World of Wonder’s Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, and Tom Campbell; RuPaul Charles; Blue Ant Studios’ Michael Kot, Betty Orr, and Laura Michalchyshyn; Yette Vandendam, who is also the supervising producer; and Bell Media’s Justin Stockman.
Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World will premiere on Crave on Nov. 18. The six-episode spinoff series will have former contestants from the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise, including the flagship U.S. series, Canadian and other local adaptations around the globe. They’ll compete to become the “Queen of the Mother-Pucking World.” Canadian drag queen Brooke Lynn Hytes, and Canadian TV personalities Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor are the resident judges.
Canada’s Drag Race is available to audiences in Canada, in both English and French, on Crave. It is also available to stream on World of Wonder’s SVOD platform WOW Presents Plus in the U.S. and more than 160 countries around the world.
Earlier this year, Canada’s Drag Race won six Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Reality/Competition Program or Series.
