Project 10 expands with COO hire

Long-time strategic advisor Brandon Davis will work with CEO Andrew Barnsley to support the company's operations and growth strategy.

Toronto and L.A.-based Project 10 Productions has created the role of chief operating officer to aid its growth strategy.

Brandon Davis (pictured right), managing director for Texas-based private equity firm JayChris Management, has been appointed to the role after serving as a strategic advisor to Project 10 for the last seven years.

Davis will work with CEO Andrew Barnsley to handle day-to-day operations of the company and execute its “new business growth strategy,” according to a press release. He will also support president Ben Murray, manager of development Shonna Foster, and Shelby Bronstine, manager, business affairs and operations.

The new COO will continue to work with JayChris Management, founded by former Toronto Blue Jays baseball player Vernon Wells, who is also a strategic advisor with Project 10.

“Brandon’s appointment is the strategic evolution of his ongoing advisory role for Project 10, formalizing his position to realize the substantial growth opportunities for the company,” said Barnsley in a statement. “Brandon’s extensive business experience and unique perspective will guide Project 10 as we aspire to become a globally recognized comedy producer.”

Project 10 has had a number of projects on the go in 2022, including the recently wrapped Jann: Alone for the Holidays Christmas special for CTV, as well as season two of the CBC comedy Son of a Critch (pictured above), produced with Take the Shot Productions. Lionsgate holds U.S. and international sales rights to the latter series, which was sold Paramount+ in the U.K. earlier this year. The prodco was also behind Prime Video’s The Kids in the Hall revival, released this May.
