M ontreal’s MELS has expanded its management team with the promotion of Marie-Christine Jean as VP of post-production and business development.

Jean’s (pictured) appointment, announced by MELS’ president Martin Carrier on Thursday (Aug. 18), is effective immediately. She’ll be responsible for three major divisions at the studio operator and equipment supplier: sound and picture post-production; distribution services; and business development and sales.

Jean will work closely with Geneviève Brodeur, who was appointed as VP of studios and business development in April to “promote MELS’ full range of integrated services,” according to a news release.

Jean’s experience in the cultural and media industries spans 17 years, including four years as a director at MELS. She was previously a general manager at Peak Media and a director of operations and post-production at Peak.
