WildBrain CPLG will open new offices in Singapore, Taipei and Seoul in addition to expanding its existing office in Shanghai.

WildBrain’s brand licensing agency has expanded its presence in Asia Pacific (APAC) with a suite of new offices in Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea.

The Halifax-based company’s existing office in Shanghai, China has been renamed WildBrain CPLG China with plans to expand the team, led by managing director Jianbo Wei.

Maarten Weck, EVP and managing director of WildBrain CPLG, will be responsible for the expansion and the management of the teams throughout the APAC region. The Taiwan office will be based in Taipei and the South Korea office will be in Seoul. The company is also planning to expand its licensing team in London, England.

The licensing arm represents and manages several WildBrain properties, including Strawberry Shortcake, Inspector Gadget, Teletubbies and In the Night Garden, in addition to third-party entertainment and lifestyle brands such as SEGA, Sauber Motorsport, Absolut and Malibu.

“With the expansion of our business across the greater APAC region, we’ll offer both existing and potential new partners a truly global licensing solution, not only through a broadened footprint in the territory, but also through access to our wider network of global offices and integrated way of working,” said Weck in a statement.
