Boat Rocker’s 3D-animated preschool series Dino Ranch has found a linear broadcaster in the U.K.
The kids-focused channel Tiny Pop has acquired the 52 x 11-minute animated series, created by Matt Fernandes of the Toronto animation studio Industrial Brothers. The studio is a producer on the series with Boat Rocker Studios, in association with CBC Kids and Radio-Canada.
Dino Ranch will premiere on Tiny Pop on April 2. The series premiered last year on CBC in Canada and Disney Jr. in the U.S. and follows a young family raising dinosaurs on a ranch. Disney renewed the series for a second season, which is now in production, and added it to its Disney+ platform in the U.S. and Latin America.
Audiences in the U.K. have already had access to Dino Ranch through Disney+, which acquired the series for a number of territories, including Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The series has been sold to more than 160 countries and is available in over 15 languages.
Boat Rocker has also developed a consumer products line for the linear launch in the U.K., with master toy partner Jazwares bringing toys to the spring. Dino Ranch will also have new publications from Scholastic and other merchandise, including apparel, costumes and bedding.
