Avion shooting spots for

Alberto-Culver, Consumers

At Avion Films, director Steven Vaughn and dop Stan Mestel landed another two days for Alberto-Culver out of Ambrose Carr Linton Kelly. Director Michael Cerny scored three days for Consumers Distributing, with Simon Mestel on camera. Norman Seeff had two days for Benylin and Backer Spielvogel Bates. James Gardner and Chris Holmes handled dop duties. Also at Avion, director/ dop George Morita picked up two days for Atlantic Lottery.

Chaos International has just completed two projects for General Mills and FCB, Canada. Director Larry August teamed up with dop James Gardner on a spot for Oatmeal Crisp and Todd Burrows directed a Golden Grahams spot, with Peter Hartmann picking up dop honors. Third Floor Editing’s Alex Eaton handled post for both jobs.

At Imported Artists Film Company, director Richard D’Alessio landed six days for Maxwell House Coffee through Ogilvy and Mather. Andre Pienaar was dop and Mick Griffin was editor.

L.T.B. Productions’ director Eugene Beck had a job for Kellogg out of J. Walter Thompson, Tokyo. Nick Allen-Woolfe was cinematographer on the four-day shoot. Greg Gold directed and Hartmann shot three days for Quaker Oats out of Harrod & Mirlin.

ltb also landed three projects out of agency dmb&b: a three-day Pampers project was directed by Bill Lindsman and shot by Woolfe; Harry Lake did double-duty as director/ dop on a day for Bounce; and director/dop Steve Bruni picked up a day for Whiskas. Bruni also scored three days for Pillsbury and Leo Burnett.

At Circle Productions, Wade Ferley had two days as director/dop for Crimestoppers through Palmer Jarvis, Vancouver. Director Stephen Yeates picked up two days for Adult Strength Tylenol through Saatchi & Saatchi, with Gardner on camera, and a day for Eaton’s through Bensimon Byrne. Rene Ohashi was cinematographer on that job.

Director/dop George Willis of The Partners’ Film Company had a day for kfc and Young and Rubicam. New director Eliza Berry handled a trio of pieces for Padulo’s Women’s College Hospital Fundraising campaign. The three-day project was shot by Craig (Moon) Mullins and Gerry Banning took on editing responsibilities.

At The Directors Film Company, director/dop Irv Blitz picked up one prelight and two shoot days from McNeil Consumer Products out of McCann-Erickson. Flashcut Editing’s Gillian McCarthy handled post. Director Robert Quartly landed three days for Labatt Blue Light, with Barry Peterson on camera.

Radke Films’ director Jeff Jones is keeping busy with a four-day job for Continental Cable Vision, Boston, direct through Radke. Out of BCP Strategie Creativite, director Ron Baxter Smith picked up a day for the Canadian Craft Show. Smith also directed a spot for the Toronto Symphony. The one-day assignment, out of mbl/bbdo, Toronto, was shot by Peterson. J. Wesley Jones donned his director/dop hat for a one-day job for Red Dog Beer, also out of mbl/bbdo. Out of Bates O’Rourke director/dop Ralph Bongard of Bongard Films headed to Vancouver for True Value Hardware Canada’s 1995 campaign.

And in the corrections department, Radke’s Garry Waller was the dop for the Hyundai shoot reported in the last edition of Commercial Directions.
