Brightlight Pictures elevates Arielle Boisvert to partner

The former VP of production will work with president Shawn Williamson to build the company's industry relations with studios and networks.

Vancouver’s Brightlight Pictures has promoted Arielle Boisvert to partner.

The new role will see Boisvert work alongside president Shawn Williamson to build the prolific service producer’s industry relations with studios and networks while continuing with her existing remit of overseeing production.

Boisvert first joined Brightlight in 2013 and was promoted to VP of production in 2019. Her credits include Prime Video series Upload, Netflix’s Space Force and Voltage Pictures’ sci-fi feature Colossal.

“It has been a pleasure growing within the Brightlight family for the past nine years and I look forward to exploring further opportunities for the company in my new role as partner,” said Boisvert in a statement. “Our production and development arms are expanding and our range of projects from diverse storytellers in both arenas is incredibly exciting.”

Brightlight has produced more than 100 film and TV projects since it was founded in 2001, including the Disney+ original The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers and Citytv original series The Murders.

The prodco’s upcoming projects include the Robbie Amell-led Float, directed by Sherren Lee and produced by Toronto’s Collective Pictures and Wattpad Webtoon Studios; second seasons of Upload and Space Force; and the Nickelodeon TV movie Monster High.
