Sega names Softimage
Sega Enterprises has named Softimage 3D as its chosen official 3D development tool for the SegaSaturn platform.
And the fruit of Sega’s ongoing productive adventures in Canada won a Parent’s Choice award. Crystal’s Pony Tale, a Sega video game for girls developed by Ottawa’s Artech Digital Entertainment, got the nod for its ‘positive social value, non-violent content and excellent graphics.’
Minas appointed
As of the new year, Susan Minas, former director of coproductions for Alliance Communications, is now director of acquisitions. Minas will be focusing on acquisition of Canadian feature films, reporting to Lael McCall, vice-president of film development.
