The F/X Training Centre division of The Kessler Group has gone into receivership. Sources say staff was given notice mid-July when payroll could not be met, and equipment was moved out of the office July 20.

Commercial production veterans Sid Kessler and Salim Sachedina launched the one-stop multimedia production house in 1993.

The status of the other eight divisions under the Kessler Group umbrella – F/X Financial, F/X Corporation, Kessler Productions, Dalton/Kessler Productions, F/X Studios, Canadian Sportfishing Productions and The Conservatory – is unclear.

Sources say there’s been a large reduction in staff but productions in process are continuing.
