Commercial Directions: Walton busy in the West

At Imported Artists, director Richard D’Alessio will be helming a day for Bell through Leo Burnett at the end of November. Third Floor’s Gillian McCarthy will be editing and Paul Sarossy will be behind the camera.

Director Paul Goldman from Dalton Films has two days in late November for Dove, with Gabor Tarko on board as dop. The agency is Ogilvy & Mather. Post is to be announced.

Coming up at Circle, Robert Turner will be directing four days for Zellers Corporate Christmas campaign, with Nick Taylor the dop. Director/dop Stephen Yeates has two days lined up for Hershey through DDB Needham, to be edited by Chris Parkins at Flashcut. Shin Sugino is pulling double-duty as director/dop for Philips Filterline Kettles through dmb&b. Third Floor’s Barry McMann will handle post. Louis Lynn, working with dop Ron Williams, will shoot three days in Vancouver for Gardettos Snack Foods through Cramer Krasselt, Milwaukee.

Apple Box director Mark Walton and dop Richard Zyp have just shot two days in Edmonton to create two 30-second spots for Shaw Cable through Inhouse Advertising Group. Post will be handled at Studio Post and Transfer. Walton and Zyp also shot a day for Western Canada Lotteries through Palmer Jarvis, Winnipeg.

For Apple Box Edmonton, Walton and Zyp have picked up a two-day McDonald’s assignment through Palmer Jarvis in Edmonton. Studio Post and Transfer will handle post. In Vancouver, director/dop Stanley Larsen is shooting six days for Eaton’s.

Big Star director Giacomo Moncada, with dop John Holosko, is shooting three days in late November for the Wal-Mart Christmas campaign through smw. The result will be four spots edited by Peter McAuley at Daily Post.

In Montreal, Figaro Films International reports director/dop Glenn Bydwell shot two French and English 45-second spots plus a French 30 for a new two-in-one Oil of Olay promotion for Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, Toronto. Marko Studios handled audio post on the three-day p&g shoot. Command Post in Toronto handled the edit and transfer.

Director Claude Brie and dop J.P. Trudel helmed a two-day date for Association marketing des concessionaires Pontiac-Buick-gmc. The Sunfire, Grand Am and Trans Sport spots were shot in both French and English and are out of Cossette Communication-Marketing. Marko did the audio post. Centre de montage electronique did the online and transfer while busy edit shop Metaphore did the offline.

Finally, Figaro director Martin Ouellette recently completed work on ‘Tunnel,’ a new French 30 for TV-Hebdo, Telemedia’s weekly tv listing magazine.
