Shaftesbury’s drama Departure (pictured) has taken off internationally as Red Arrow International announces a raft of overseas deals. The U.K.’s Channel 5 has picked up season one for free-to-air channel 5STAR and on-demand catch-up service My5.

Both season one and the upcoming second season were also sold to Lionsgate Play (India), Net5 (Netherlands), DPG Media in Belgium for channel VTM2 and TVNZ (New Zealand). Sweden’s TV4, which previously acquired season one, has now acquired season two. The second season, set to premiere on Global next year, will feature one of the final performances of Christopher Plummer, who passed away earlier this year.

Cineflix Rights

Canadian broadcasters have acquired a number of titles from Cineflix Rights. Bell Media has picked up two MOWs from Cineflix Productions, I was Lorena Bobbitt and An Ice Wine Christmas, while Blue Ant Media has picked up season one of Wizard of Paws (21 x 30 minutes) from The Dodo and Nomadica Films. The U.K.-based distributor also sold season three of Cineflix Productions’ Homicide: Hours to Kill (26 x 60 minutes) to U.S. network Investigation Discovery.

CBC Gem has picked up a number of series, including Channel 5 series My Big Family Farm (18 x 60 minutes) and the 90-minute special Five Years on the Farm, produced by Renegade Pictures and Motion Content Group. Other titles include ITV’s Living on the Veg (10 x 60 minutes) from Rock Oyster Media and 60-minute special The Day Will and Kate Got Married from Finestripe Productions.

Gusto TV

Gusto Worldwide Media has expanded its linear channel footprint to France via rlaxx TV. The ad-supported, channel-based VOD service already offers Gusto TV in the U.K., Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Further expansion to Spain and Portugal is expected later this summer. The channel will premiere two anthology programs this summer with The 3 Best (20 x 30 minutes), which features the best recipes across the channel’s programming and America’s Most Delicious (20 x 30 minutes), which features some of the best recipes from south of the border.
