Leif Films has teed up its next feature project, Love Rescued, with production now underway in North Bay, ON.
Penned by Agnes Bristow (Dancing Through the Shadow of Mao) and directed by Leif Films principal Leif Bristow (Love on Safari, A Veteran’s Christmas), the project stars Brittany Bristow (The Marijuana Conspiracy), Chris McNally (Netflix’s Altered Carbon) and Jayne Eastwood (Jump, Darling).
In addition to writing the script, Agnes Bristow is also producing alongside Gearshift Films co-founder Borga Dorter (Witches in the Woods). A Canadian distributor has not yet been announced for the project, which is scheduled for release in fall 2021. The project, about a dog rescue centre run by a woman and her grandmother, is set to shoot for the next two weeks.
Executive producers are Michael A. McLaughlin (Love, Romance & Chocolate) and Leif Bristow.
In December, Leif Films was in Malta producing Baked Alaska, starring Jeremy Jordan (Supergirl) and Jessica Lowndes (90210), for Hallmark Channel and W Network.
