The Canadian Independent Film Series is presenting Reel Insight ’98, a panel discussion on funding, distribution, marketing, producing, law and insurance topics for independent filmmakers, on Jan. 13.
Panelists include Heenan Blaikie entertainment lawyer Elizabeth Macfarlane, Bravo!Fact executive director Judy Gladstone, Canadian Comedy Shorts producer Brent Haynes, director/writer/producer Michael Bockner and Konrad Dowling, vp of entertainment insurance company AON/Ruben-Winkler.
The event is being held at the Ryerson Eaton Lecture Theatre at 8 pm.
The cifs is also hosting a Valentine’s day screening Feb. 14 at The Bloor Cinema to include Blake Corbet’s The Chain, starring Molly Parker and Michael DeCarlo’s Fellini and Me with Micheal Gabriel.
