The Roy family saga has ended, with a series finale that answered the ultimate question of who becomes the next CEO of Waystar Royco and pushed Succession to the top of the overall TV demand chart.

The HBO drama was 40.05 times more in demand than the average TV show in Canada for the week of May 22 to 28, according to Parrot Analytics. It saw a jump of more than five points from the previous week.

Apple TV+’s sports comedy-drama Ted Lasso (37.77) held on to its position at the top in the digital originals chart ahead of its season three finale, which streamed on Wednesday (May 31).

Also in the digital chart, the Crave original comedy Letterkenny (23.22), which had received a bump in demand in the previous week with its special Letterkenny: May 2-4, kept its spot at No. 2 and was joined in the top three by Netflix’s Stranger Things (20.05).

The Hulu and Disney+ sci-fi show The Orville (15.76) returned to the digital chart at No. 7. There was also interest in the Star Trek universe, with Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (15.49) making the list at No. 9 in anticipation of its season two premiere on June 15, and Star Trek: Picard landing at No. 10 with an average of 14.55.

In the overall TV chart, Ted Lasso moved down to No. 2 and Showtime’s Yellowjackets (34.6) kept its spot at No. 3 with a four-point increase in demand following its season two finale on May 26. Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants (23.04) returned to the chart at No. 10, bumping off Crunchyroll’s anime One Piece from the list.
