Insight Productions has partnered with Bell Media Studios and CBC/Radio-Canada to produce a one-hour special to support frontline workers during the COVID-19 with the support of the country’s major broadcasters.
Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble will air on Sunday (April 26) at 7 p.m. local time on more than a dozen English- and French-language channels from Bell Media, CBC, Corus Entertainment, Groupe V Média and Rogers Sports & Media, including CTV, Citytv, Global and V.
The special will feature an ensemble of Canadian musicians, athletes, comedians and TV personalities in a 60-minute, commercial-free special to show support for those working to keep Canadians fed, secure and healthy during the crisis, along with calls for donations to Food Bank Canada. Top-billing talent include Céline Dion, Michael Bublé, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain and Sarah McLachlan. It is presented in partnership with the MADE|NOUS initiative.
In addition to the television broadcast, Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble will be available to stream on CBC Gem, the CTV, Global TV and iHeartRadio apps, as well as the Citytv and ET Canada websites, and be broadcast on Virgin Radio and CBC radio stations.
Canada’s major broadcasters recently united to air the One World: Together at Home special by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization on April 18 across their networks, specialty channels, streaming platforms and radio channels. It brought in 5.5 million total viewers across all stations Canada-wide. Bell Media served as the foundational Canadian partner for the special, which had appearances from a plethora of artists and celebrities, including Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Oprah Winfrey, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, as well as Canadians Céline Dion and Shawn Mendes.
