NBCUniversal International in Germany has acquired the local broadcast rights to four eOne series, including Nurses (pictured) and Burden of Truth.

Those two Canadian series, as well as U.S. cop drama Deputy and Australian drama Upright, have been licensed to pay-TV channels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including NBCU-owned channels 13th Street and Universal TV.

Global original Nurses, produced by ICF Films and eOne in association with Piazza Entertainment and Corus Entertainment, has posted robust ratings since it premiered in January. Debuting on Monday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m., the medical drama attracted an average viewership of 1.26 million (2+) for its first episode. In its second week, the hour-drama attracted an average audience of 1.09 million, and 964,000 in its third week.

Meanwhile, Winnipeg-shot Burden of Truth, produced by ICF Films, eOne and Eagle Vision, was renewed for a third season by the CBC last year. The Kristin Kreuk-starring series was also picked up by U.S. network the CW in each of its first two seasons. Season three premiered on CBC last month.

Upright stars Tim Minchin and Milly Alcock as a duo who strike up an unlikely friendship after they are thrown together in the Australian desert, while Deputy is a cop drama starring Stephen Dorff that airs on FOX in the U.S.

The deals were brokered by Christian Fritzsche, eOne’s VP of sales German-speaking Europe.

In addition to those sales, NBCUniversal International said it has acquired the fourth season of Private Eyes, with new episodes set to launch on 13th Street in Germany later this year.
