Following a month of speculation, theatrical distributor Odeon Films has moved its operations to Alliance Atlantis Communications’ head office (PB, Oct. 5).

Odeon, 75% owned by aac after a $5-million deal in May at the behest of Industry Canada, was operating out of the headquarters of its previous owner, Cineplex Odeon Canada.

The move to Bloor Street may result in a shakeup for Odeon and sources say that Odeon employees will be told their fate on Nov. 16.

Odeon currently has Rhombus Media’s Last Night in theaters and opened The Red Violin in Canada Nov. 13. Red Violin star Samuel L. Jackson was in Toronto to promote the movie.
