Kew Media Distribution (KMD), part of Kew Media Group, has promoted Graham Begg to the newly created position of SVP of acquisitions and business development.
Begg (pictured), who joined the distributor in 2018 as VP of business development and producer relations, will oversee acquisition opportunities spanning scripted, non-scripted, documentary and factual entertainment properties, and advise on corporate activities and business development initiatives.
He will also continue to work with Kew Media’s 13 production companies on collaboration opportunities with Kew Media Distribution and exploiting those companies’ IP globally.
Kew’s portfolio of production companies includes Canadian firms Bristow Global Media, Our House Media, Frantic Films, Architect Films, Media Headquarters and Sienna Films. Outside of Canada, Kew also owns 4East Media, Awesome Media & Entertainment and TCB Media Rights, among other production and distribution companies.
On the distribution side of the business, Kew last week reported that its Q3 revenue rose by 19% to $20 million, up from $16.8 million the year prior. Overall, Q3 revenue fell by 5.3% to $47.5 million, from $52.8 million in the same quarter a year ago.
