Science TV expands

Montreal: Science TV Distribution has formed a strategic alliance with The Multimedia Group of Canada. Roselyne Brouillet, Science tv director, planning and development, says the agreement is restricted to services, including offices at mgc’s new location in Old Montreal, but ownership remains with president Herve Fischer. Fischer also heads up the annual Festival Telescience/midos market.

Science tv reps 70 science producers worldwide and has close to 170 programs in its current catalogue. Brouillet says the company tripled sales in ’98 and projects the same growth this year.

Canadian producers repped by the distributor include Wide Angles, Missing Links, Jean-Louis Frund, Shanda, and Canamedia, the latter on a non-exclusive basis.

Science tv attends natpe, mip-tv and mipcom.
