*Banff to fete ARTE

ARTE will be presented with the 1999 Global Outstanding Achievement Award at the Banff Television Festival. The European culture channel has been broadcasting since 1992 and is seen in more than 50 million households in Europe.

Past winners include TV Globo, The Children’s Television Workshop and Channel Four.

The award will be presented June 16 during the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Banff festival.

*Shaw sells @home stock

Shaw Communications has sold part of its investment in @Home and Terayon Communications Systems. Shaw has sold 350,000 shares of @Home for approximately $177 each and 250,000 Terayon shares at $57 each. Shaw still holds nearly four million @Home shares and approximately 3.35 million shares of Terayon after the trim.
