marblemedia hires Donna Luke as VP of production

The former supervising producer for The Bachelorette Canada and Project Runway will oversee production and business affairs for marblemedia and D360.

Toronto-based marblemedia has hired Donna Luke as its new VP of production. A former supervising producer and line producer on several Canadian productions such as The Bachelorette Canada and Project Runway, she will now be responsible for overseeing production and business affairs for both marblemedia and its distribution arm, Distribution360.

In a statement, the company said it plans to amplify its production slate and explore new content and revenue opportunities in the year ahead, with Luke playing an integral part in the process.

As a producer, her most recent project was as a supervising producer on the new marblemedia series Blown Away, which is launching on Netflix and Makeful in Canada later this year. A coproduction with Blue Ant Media, the 12 x 30-minute series sees a group of glass blowers across North America perfect their craft.

Prior to that production, Luke served as a supervising producer and line producer on Canada’s Next Top Model and The Real Housewives of Toronto, as well as the productions mentioned above. She also previously spent eight years at BBC Television in management positions for news, current affairs, television features, drama series and natural history.

The hire comes shortly after marblemedia tapped Kelsey Aikman as its new director of marketing and communications. In the fall, the company expanded its kids portfolio when D360 added 19 new shows to its roster, including 15 from Toronto’s Skyship Entertainment.
