An international selection panel has chosen 22 film proposals for the second edition of Contact Europe, the coproduction, cofinancing and distribution platform taking place this year in Berlin, Nov. 24-26.
Ten Canadian projects, all from Quebec producers, were selected from 47 submissions.

At Contact, producers will pitch their proposals to some 30 decision-makers representing television networks, distributors and international communication groups from Europe and North America. Its purpose is to create an international platform attuned to current market trends by allowing producers to submit their proposals both to international sales organizations and local representatives. Each project, either feature film or mow, has secured at least 30% of its financing.
The third edition of Contact, a joint venture of sodec and Linking Market Forces, an association accredited by the European Union’s media program, will be held in Quebec in March. *
