Robin Neinstein is leaving Corus Entertainment later this month to join Netflix.
Neinstein, who serves as Corus’ manager of original content, scripted, factual and kids, joins Netflix on June 4 as part of the streamer’s physical production team, led by Ty Warren. In the role, Neinstein will focus on Netflix series that are produced in Canada. He will be based in L.A.
Neinstein has been with Corus for six years, joining initially as a production executive for original drama content at Shaw Media. He was promoted to his current role in 2016, when Corus Entertainment acquired Shaw Media.
In his current role, he oversees production on a number of series, including Vikings and Travelers, for a number of Corus-owned channels such as Global, History, Showcase, W Network, Teletoon and YTV. He is also a former executive in charge of drama production at CBC. His production credits at the pubcaster include Being Erica and The Tudors.
