Zone 3-produced format When a Designer Knocks is headed to Denmark.

Danish TV channel TV2 FRI has acquired the remake rights to the interior design property, which airs in Canada on Bell Media’s Canal Vie.

The series follows a designer and a comedian giving home makeovers to unsuspecting families across Quebec.

The IP is being adapted for the Danish market by Banijay Group-owned Nordisk Film TV, with a local version (called Fri Banker På) due to air later this year.

International format sales on the property are handled by U.K.-based distribution and rights management company Magnify Media, which also handles format sales on TVO’s social-experiment property Political Blind Date.

In November 2017, Magnify Media inked a deal with Zone 3 to handle format sales on the show, with Magnify selling the format to Banijay Nordics for remakes in a number of Scandinavian markets, as well as deals with Tuvalu Media in Holland, Zodiak in Belgium, and Screentime in Australia.
