Network Media Group names new exec chairman

Frank Anderson will lead the board of the Vancouver-based company, which recently produced feature-length doc I Am Heath Ledger for Spike TV and TMN.

Vancouver-based Network Media Group has appointed Frank Anderson to succeed Robert Pirooz as executive chairman of its board of directors.

Network Media is the parent company of film and TV prodco Network Entertainment. The prodco recently produced I Am Heath Ledger (2017) for Spike TV in the U.S. and TMN in Canada, Realscreen Award-winning Facing docuseries for Nat Geo (2017) and the Oscar shortlisted feature doc Facing Ali (2009).  

Anderson has more than 35 years experience in capital markets, including 18 years as an investment advisor at Canaccord Capital. He also has extensive experience in the entertainment business, serving as a partner in comedy network Jash.

In his role at Network, Anderson will be tasked with expanding the company’s production and development activities. He first joined the board of directors in July 2017. Network is led by CEO Derik A. Murray.
