* Art Reitmayer has been named president and CEO of Multivan Broadcast Corp., Vancouver’s new multilingual station that will launch in 2003. Previously, he was a VP with CanWest Global Communications, a position he held after it acquired WIC Western International Communications where Reitmayer was president of WIC Television Inc.

* Suzanne French has been appointed interim VP of development for Portfolio Entertainment, replacing development executive Lila Rose, who is on assignment to scrip Portfolio’s production Pastor and the P.I. for CTV. French is the former VP of television production for Alliance Atlantis, where she spearheaded the formation of AAC Kids.

Tanya Kelen has been appointed Portfolio’s head of sales and acquisitions. Kelen most recently served as international television acquisitions, marketing and sales executive at Montreal’s Multimedia Group of Canada.

* Claude Galipeau, former VP of broadcasting at Alliance Atlantis, has been appointed the new managing director of cbc.ca.

* Collideascope Digital Productions out of Halifax adds two new senior executives to its management team.

Suzanne Chapman, formerly VP of television production for Alliance Atlantis in Toronto, joins Collideascope Digital Productions as executive producer.

Mark Campbell takes on the role of VP production, coming from the Independent Film Channel Canada where he was senior production executive.

* Lynn Valiquette has been appointed program sales and acquisitions executive for Distribution Cine Tele Action, a subsidiary of Groupe Cine Tele Action.

* Entertainment lawyer Marie-Josee Corbeil has joined Vivavision as VP international affairs. She replaces Louie Porco, who resigned for health rasons. Corbeil is a former senior manager at Cinar Corp. and chair of the APFTQ.

* Susan Milican, former VP of programming for WTN, has been appointed the new CEO of the National Screen Institute.

* Telefilm Canada has named Michel Pradier director – Quebec operations. Pradier has been acting director since Nov. 1. He joined Telefilm in 1997 and was earlier head of the television unit.

Gordon Whittaker joins Telefilm’s Atlantic Canada office as investment analyst. Whittaker spent the last two years at Helix Animation as VP and COF and is a former executive director at the Atlantic Film Festival.

* CBC International Sales has hired three new sales execs to complete its reorganization.

They are: Caroline Gillis, previously sales exec at Tele Images International; Sonia Ormaechea, a former sales exec with Canamedia and Salter Street Films; and Katheryn Kozanczyn, who comes from Portfolio Entertainment.
