The Canadian Television Fund has announced Sandra Macdonald as its new president and CEO.
The former government film commissioner and chair of the National Film Board will assume her position Sept. 4, replacing Garry Toth who was relieved in June.
Macdonald, who will oversee the CTF’s $250-million annual budget, has more than a decade in the public and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to serving at the NFB between 1995 and 2001, she was president of the CFTPA (1992-1995) and worked at the CRTC and as a producer. Macdonald was also a founding member of the CTF in the mid-1990s.
