Toronto-based Blue Ice Docs has acquired Canadian distribution rights to Integral Man from first-time director Joseph Clement.

The feature doc, which had its world premiere at Hot Docs on May 2, takes audiences inside mathematician Jim Stewart’s famous Toronto home, considered by many to be one of the best performance spaces in the city.

Blue Ice is planning a fall theatrical release for the feature, following its festival run. Integral Man was produced by Clement and Sarah Keenlyside, with cinematography by Jackson Parre II and editing by Calum J. Moore.

In other doc sales news, Avi Federgreen’s Indiecan Entertainment has acquired Canadian distribution rights to Tomorrow’s Power, directed by Amy Miller.

The doc, from Montreal’s Wide Open Exposure and Byron A. Martin Productions, showcases three communities from Germany, Gaza and Colombia and their responses to the environmental and economic crises facing them.

The film, which was produced by Miller and Byron A. Martin, had its world premiere at the Cambodia International Film Festival in March and will continue to travel the festival circuit this summer.

Last week, A71 Entertainment picked up Ann Shin’s feature doc My Enemy My Brother ahead of its Hot Docs premiere.
