* Noted TV maker Perry Rosemond has been made a Member of the Order of Canada for his ‘tireless’ efforts at CBC on such shows as Fraggle Rock, King of Kensington and Royal Canadian Air Farce. Rosemond was among 109 new appointees announced last month by Governor General Adrienne Clarkson and will be formally awarded the honor at a later date. Also named or promoted were CBC’s Wayne Rostad, filmmaker Anne Claire Poirier and National Film Board alum Tony Ianzelo.

* Barb Harwood has been named chief financial officer at Vancouver’s Paperny Films. Previously, she was manager of entertainment services at accounting firm Ellis Foster in Vancouver.

* ACTRA has named Ken Thompson to the newly created position of director, public policy and communications. A lawyer specializing in copyright law, Thompson spent 12 years working at the Canadian Recording Industry Association.

* Montreal technical services company Global Vision has named Roger Page VP human resources and legal affairs.

Page was a senior partner and labor law specialist at Desjardins Ducharme Stein Monast. His office will be located at Citelab.

The company also announced the appointment of Guy Desautels as VP of operations. His main responsibilities will be to oversee all operations including Citelab audio services and the New York technical center.
