The Canada Media Fund has partnered with the Danish Film Institute to establish a digital media codevelopment incentive.
The new incentive will support the codevelopment of innovative digital content that experiments with new formats, platforms and storytelling techniques. It will be open to any project that involves one Danish producer and one Canadian producer.
The incentive budget will be set at $300,000, with each partner organization investing half.
To help facilitate coproduction opportunities, a delegation of 10 Canadian producers attended the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival earlier this month. Meanwhile a contingent of Danish producers will travel to Canada in the fall.
The CMF has codevelopment incentives with several countries and cities, including Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Jerusalem and New Zealand.
